The vLBV is a versatile vehicle depth-rated to 950 meters sea water (MSW) or 3,116 feet sea water (FSW). It features six brushless DC thrusters, with four vectored and two vertical thrusters, providing excellent maneuverability.

The vLBV is equipped with auto heading, depth, and trim functionalities, along with a video overlay and a temperature sensor, making it an ideal choice for various underwater applications.
The Integrated Control System is housed in a protective case that includes a monitor, surface power supply, and operator control unit. It features a 38 cm (15 in) color LCD monitor fitted into the lid of the waterproof case. The vLBV operator control unit is removable from the lower tray of the integrated console, and a sunshade is provided for optimal operation in direct sunlight.

Ultra low drag, strong tether
The vLBV950 uses the low drag tether that SeaBotix has used in all its ROV systems. At 9.05 mm (0.35 in) nominal diameter and 100 kgf (220 lbf) working load, the tether has maximum strength and minimal impact on the vehicle's performance.
